Tanaka has more than 21 years of industry experience. He manages investor relationships across EMEA. Prior to Probitas, Tanaka worked in fundraising for Engel & Völkers Capital. Previously, he served as advisor to an impact-driven investment firm focused on solar projects into emerging markets. In 2016, he was relocated to Munich from London by a spinout from von Braun & Schreiber Private Equity Partners. Prior to that, he ran the M&A advisory and PE sponsor revenue book at Mergermarket Group, focusing on Nordics & Western Europe. The owners / equity management team successfully exited to BC Partners & GIC during his 9 years. Tanaka began his career with Spark Ventures in London. He also had a stint broking property risks with Lloyd’s of London. He graduated from Durham University (Masters) and completed a Real Estate Program with Oxford University.
