Alan “Butch” Andreini

Director

Alan "Butch" Andreini has fifteen years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Butch held similar roles at alternative investment management firms James Alpha Management and Carrington Capital Management. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and received a BA in Economics from Trinity College (Hartford). Additionally, he serves as Chair of the California Hedge Fund Association (CHFA) Alternative Investment Manager Best Practices Committee, which is focused on driving discussions and generating content that promotes "best practices" across all facets of the alternative investment industry.
Brett Everhart

Brett Everhart

Brett has more than four years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' fund placement project management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Brett served as a financial analyst with Oracle’s mergers and acquisitions team in Redwood Shores. While at Oracle, Brett was responsible for the due diligence and integration of acquisitions. Brett earned a BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
Ed Amorosi

Ed Amorosi

Ed Amorosi has 16 years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners’ relationship management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Ed served as the Head of Marketing & Business Development at Great Point Partners (GPP) as well as Kellner, DiLeo, & Co. (KDC).  He has served in capital advisory and placement capacities for various private markets fund managers, both independently as well as through the Asset Management platforms at JPMorgan Securities (the former Bear, Stearns, & Co.) as well as Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  Ed received his BA with a Double Major (Government, Art History) and Minor (Spanish) from Georgetown University.  Prior to joining the securities industry, Ed was a politico-economic journalist covering the Developing Markets for various international media outlets, including the New York Times, Time Magazine, The Independent, & U.S. News & World Report.
John Caley

John Caley

Managing Director

John has twenty-seven years of industry experience in identifying large-scale real estate assets with unique investment attributes (off-market, broker-controlled pocket listings, direct ownership, sensitive timing, etc.) that create bespoke and often time-sensitive direct investment opportunities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, John was a Senior Managing Director at Grubb & Ellis’ Investment Management Platform and has held senior executive positions with Gemini Rosemont, Rexford Industrial, Transwestern and PM Realty Group.
Tim Crowley

Tim Crowley

Vice President

Tim has more than eight years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship management activities in Europe. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Tim was a Business Development Manager at Aztec Group fund administration, where he was responsible for generating new fund manager and investor relationships across Private Equity, Real Estate and Credit as well as helping maintain key client relationships. Prior to Aztec Group, Tim was a Business Development Manager at Howden Group insurance brokers where again, he worked with Private Equity, Real Estate and Credit fund managers. Tim earned a BA Hons from the University of Birmingham.
Edwin Chan

Edwin Chan

Managing Director

Edwin has more than twenty-five years of industry experience and is responsible for managing Probitas Partners’ key relationships with both General Partners and Limited Partners in Asia. Prior to joining the firm, Edwin was working as Associate Director for business development at AIG Investments focusing on private equity, real estate and hedge fund-of-funds investments. Edwin started his career as a management trainee at Citibank and spent most of his banking career with HSBC corporate and investment bank covering major institutional and corporate clients. Edwin holds an MBA and a BA from the University of South Australia and is a Certified Practicing Accountant of CPA Australia.

Kelly DePonte

Managing Director

Kelly has more than thirty-seven years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' research. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Kelly was Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at Pacific Corporate Group ("PCG"), a leading provider of alternative investment advisory, management and consulting services. Kelly oversaw the partnership investment program, which comprised more than $20 billion in capital dedicated globally to private equity. Before joining PCG, Kelly held various senior positions at First Interstate Bancorp, including management of a $170 million venture capital portfolio, oversight of all financial derivative activity in the corporation and its banks, and analysis and management of capital and liquidity positions of First Interstate subsidiaries. Kelly is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of The Review of Private Equity and is the editor of several books published by PEI Media: "The Definitive Guide to Private Equity Fund Due Diligence" (1st & 2nd editions); "The Definitive Guide to Distressed Debt and Turnaround Investing" (1st & 2nd editions); and "A Guide to Private Equity Fund of Funds Managers" (2nd edition). Kelly earned a BA in Communications from Stanford University and an MBA from The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
Tomas Faber

Tomas Faber

Vice President

Tomas has more than seven years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Tomas was an Associate at MVision Private Equity Advisers in New York. At MVision, Tomas was responsible for alternative fund distribution effort predominantly in eastern North America and South America, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining key investor relationships. Tomas also assisted with the project management efforts for alternative fund managers in North and South America across all asset classes. Prior to MVision, Tomas was a Senior Analyst at Morgan Stanley in the Equity Capital Markets group as well as an Analyst in the Investment Banking division covering financial institutions. Tomas earned a BS from Arizona State University.

Caryn Feinberg

Managing Director

Caryn has more than twenty-one years of industry experience and is primarily responsible for Probitas Partners’ fund origination efforts in the United States. Caryn previously worked as director of investor relations for Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a private equity infrastructure fund. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Caryn was Senior Director at SecondMarket, Inc., where she was responsible for structuring and implementing the firm’s secondary trading market for private banks and expanding the third-party sales channel to attract private equity funds, venture and hedge fund clients. Earlier in her career, Caryn held a variety of management positions at Citigroup, including roles in sales and marketing, operations, investor relations, and equity research. She earned an MBA in Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Business Management from Cornell University.

Haakon Gresvig

Haakon has fourteen years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners’ relationship management activities in Europe. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Haakon was a Director at Wedge Alternatives, a boutique placement agent in London focused on raising capital for private equity and hedge funds. Prior to that, Haakon worked at Goldman Sachs in New York and London, most recently as an Associate supporting the interest rate derivatives sales desk in London. Haakon earned a BSc in Business Administration from University of Colorado at Boulder. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Designation.

Jim Glenn

Jim has more than six years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Jim was a Principal at EcoAlpha Asset Management in San Francisco. At EcoAlpha, Jim was responsible for fundraising efforts developing and maintaining key investor relationships. Jim also assisted with the project management efforts and created white papers and thought leadership pieces for various industry conferences. Prior to EcoAlpha, Jim was a registered financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors. Jim earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Greg Hausler

Managing Director

Greg has more than thirty-two years of industry experience and is in charge of Probitas Partners' relationship management activities. Prior to founding Probitas Partners, Greg was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) in the Private Fund Group where he was responsible for maintaining key investor relationships in western North America as well as sourcing and evaluating prospective general partners. Before joining CSFB, Greg held positions of increasing responsibility marketing institutional financial products and providing investment advice at Banc America Robertson Stephens, La Salle Advisors and Prudential-Bache Capital Funding. Greg earned a BA in Political Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Michael Hoffmann

President & Managing Director

Mike has more than thirty-five years of industry experience and is responsible for overseeing Probitas Partners' policy and overall corporate strategy as well as building and maintaining institutional investor relationships in North America and abroad. Prior to founding Probitas Partners, Mike was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) in the Private Fund Group, where he was responsible for maintaining key investor relationships in western North America as well as sourcing and evaluating prospective general partners. Prior to CSFB, Mike held senior managerial and investment positions with MetLife Realty and AMB Realty Advisors, two of the leading institutional real estate advisory firms in North America. He began his career as an attorney with the law firms of Johnson Bromberg and Allen Matkins, specializing in the structuring of complex corporate and real estate transactions. Mike earned his BA in English, Sociology and Political Science at University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he additionally earned his JD and MBA. Mike is a member of the State Bars of California, Texas and Wisconsin. He has served on the Board of Directors of the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Program and continues to be an active academic and conference lecturer at various national symposia.

Chul Kim

Director

Chul has more than fifteen years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship and project management activities in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining the firm, Chul was an Investment Director at InterLeader Capital, a private investment company based in Hong Kong focusing on private equity and real estate investments in Greater China. At InterLeader Capital, Chul was responsible for evaluating, executing and monitoring both private equity and real estate investments, while also managing institutional co-investor relationships in Korea. Previously, he was an Investment Analyst at Meritz Investment Partners, a corporate restructuring firm based in Seoul. Chul earned a BS in Economics from Duke University and is a CFA charterholder.

Philip Marchal

Managing Director

Philip has more than twenty-two years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' relationship management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Philip was a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at BMO Capital Markets, where he was responsible for origination and execution of equity financing mandates for the firm's Healthcare and Technology clients. Prior to BMO Capital Markets, Philip was a Principal at ThinkEquity Partners, and before that a Vice President at JP Morgan Securities where in both roles he originated and executed private and public equity financings for companies across all industry sectors. Philip began his career as an investigator with the US Department of Commerce. Philip earned an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in European Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins' Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, and a BA in Government from Dartmouth College.

Craig Marmer

Craig has more than twenty-four years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' fund placement project management activities. Prior to founding Probitas Partners, Craig served as a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) in the Private Fund Group. As a member of the Private Fund Group since 1994, Craig met with and evaluated hundreds of prospective general partners seeking to raise private equity capital globally. Craig led the firm's efforts in technology and venture capital origination and fundraising. Craig graduated Cum Laude with a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a BS in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

John Murphy

COO

John has over thirty-one years of experience in comparable positions as Chief Financial and Operating Officer, and is responsible for managing Probitas Partners’ day-to-day operations including financial, legal, technology and human resource functions. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, John was Chief Operating Officer and Partner at U.S. Select Holdings, LLC (“USSH”), where he focused on development of new real estate business lines and oversaw all aspects of company operations. Prior to joining USSH, John served as CFO and Partner at MacFarlane Partners, an institutional real estate advisor, and Prometheus Real Estate Group, Inc. John has raised investment capital, developed new lines of business, restructured organizations as well as developed and implemented strategic business initiatives. He began his career at KPMG and is a certified public accountant (inactive). John graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.

Sinead O’Sullivan

Director of Finance

Sinead has over twenty-eight years of experience in financial operations and is responsible for running the day-to-day finance operations at Probitas Partners. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Sinead worked at Applied Materials, where she managed software implementations in the finance organization. Prior to that, Sinead worked at KPMG. Sinead attended Cork Institute of Technology and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Chirag Patel

Chirag has more than thirteen years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners’ fund placement project management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Chirag served as a vice president of business management with Goldman Sachs Global FX and FICC eBusiness desks. While at Goldman Sachs, Chirag was responsible for driving business strategy across trading and sales, and project managing product launches and system developments. Chirag earned a BSc in Mathematics and a MSc in Corporate Governance from the University of London.
Ryan Powers

Ryan has more than seven years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' fund placement project management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Ryan served as an investment banking associate with Cappello Global, LLC in Santa Monica. While at Cappello, Ryan was responsible for executing capital raising transactions and merger and acquisition engagements for middle market companies. Ryan earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Davis.  Ryan also received his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Ray Tsao

Ray has more than fifteen years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners' fund placement project management activities. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Ray served as an investment banking associate in the Technology Group at Credit Suisse in San Francisco. While at Credit Suisse, Ray was responsible for executing capital raising transactions and merger and acquisition engagements for companies across the technology industry. Ray earned a BS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Fuyuki Yamamoto

Mr. Yamamoto has more than twenty-five years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners relationship management in Japan. Prior to joining Probitas Partners, Mr. Yamamoto was with the Monument Group and was the firm’s Japan representative, located in Tokyo. Previously, Mr. Yamamoto focused on raising capital from Japanese investors for private equity and hedge funds, and held various positions with Deutsche Securities, Brevan Howard (London) and Credit Suisse Private Fund Group (New York/London). He has also held financial sponsor coverage, leverage finance fund investor, principal transaction and credit analyst positions with Mizuho Corporate Bank (New York), Credit Suisse Securities (Japan), Lehman Brothers (Japan) and Bank of America (Japan). He earned a BA in Economics from Hosei University, Tokyo.
